EDGE Network – Doubled
Rumor has it that Nokia Siemens is going to release a software upgrade in Q3 of this year to double the speed of the EDGE Network to 592kbps. They also aren’t going to stop there and will be releasing EGPRS 2 with download speeds of 1.2MBPS and upload speeds at 473kbps.

Oh that is good news, since my current internet connection is using the 3G network, and allows me to donload at 50 KB’s and upload at 15 KB’s but it is the only thing that I can use to connect with..no adsl near me! now that I know the speeds might go up, I’m a happy man again!
