The amazing floating anti-gravity globe

While it’s not exactly what Columbus had, if your looking in the globe market, keep your eyes out for the anti-gravity globe from ThinkGeek. The gravity defying globe uses a “combination of sensors and micro-processors help to calibrate the embedded electromagnet in the base to properly suspend the globe.” It even spins around while hanging in mid-air.

That seems like an electromagnet. I supposed there’s a power supply as well?
